transcranial Electrical Stimulation
tES is a safe, non-invasive method that uses gentle electrical currents to stimulate the brain. The idea is that these gentle currents can influence brain activity in ways that could improve brain function and reduce symptoms of certain psychological and neurological disorders.
tES includes different methods, with two common ones being tDCS and tACS:
- tDCS uses a steady electrical current to increase or decrease activity in specific brain areas.
