Meet Our Team
Dr. Lew Lim
Dr. Lew Lim is widely recognized as an expert on photobiomodulation (PBM), particularly in its application for brain functions and the effect on the immune system, with a focus on researching PBM as a solution for neurological and psychiatric conditions, and on enhancing brain functions in healthy individuals.
He owns the largest number of worldwide issued and pending patents related to PBM as an individual. Besides, he is a member of the Forbes Technology Council.
Dr. Danilo de Jesus
Dr. Danilo de Jesus is a psychiatrist who specializes in mood and psychotic disorders, and brain stimulation treatments. He has completed his medical education and residency in Psychiatry in Brazil, a Master’s degree in schizophrenia and fellowships in Brain Stimulation and Complex Mental Illness at the University of Toronto. He worked at CAMH until 2019, then moved to Queen’s University, leading an acute inpatient unit. He currently focuses on community and interventional psychiatry at Providence Care Hospital. His research mainly focuses on brain stimulation modalities such as rTMS and PBM in psychiatry.
Dr. Jeané Viljoen
Dr. Jeané Viljoen earned her Bachelor of Science at the University of Calgary and her BM BS medical degree from the University of Limerick, Ireland. She completed her psychiatry residency at the University of Toronto and has been practicing in the GTA and Halton regions since 2018. Her areas of interest include primary psychotic disorders, mood disorders, first-episode psychosis, and electroconvulsive therapy (ECT).
Dr. Masoud AhmadzadAsl
Dr. Masoud AhmadzadAsl (Ahmadzad) is a psychiatrist who completed his residency at the University of Toronto in 2025. He previously earned his medical degree and completed a psychiatry residency in Iran in 2012, moving to Canada in 2018. He has served as a visiting psychiatrist at BC Children’s Hospital’s Neuropsychiatry Clinic, University of British Columbia, and has published over 70 peer-reviewed papers on topics including mood disorders, suicide, gender identity, domestic violence, and the role of placebo in psychiatry. His clinical interests include general psychiatry, transition-age youth, treatment-resistant depression, neuropsychiatric conditions, somatic symptom disorder, and functional
neurological disorders.
Dr. Seyed-Mohammad Fereshtehnejad
Dr. Fereshtehnejad serves as a Neurologist and Movement Disorders Clinical Fellow at Toronto Western Hospital, University of Toronto. He holds an MD degree and has completed master’s programs in Public Health and Medical Education in Tehran, Iran. He further earned a PhD in Clinical Neuroscience and Neuroepidemiology from Karolinska Institutet in Stockholm, Sweden. His current research primarily focuses on the prodromal stage and progression biomarkers of Parkinson’s disease (PD).
Dr. Minella de Souza
Dr. Minella de Souza completed her Neuropsychiatry Fellowship at the University of Toronto in 2005, working at Toronto Western Hospital and Bloorview Macmillan Children’s Rehabilitation Hospital. She later transitioned to private practice to explore interests in QEEG, biofeedback, and neuromodulation. Originally from India, she qualified as a general practitioner at the University of Bombay, studied pharmacology, and worked in pharmaceuticals before moving to Canada for her psychiatry residency at the University of Toronto.
Anita Saltmarche
Anita is a world-renowned expert in photobiomodulation. She has over 20 years of clinical and research experience in light therapy, initially focusing on musculoskeletal conditions. For the last 15 years, she has focused on neurologic disorders, such as TBI/concussion, post-stroke aphasia, Alzheimer’s, autism, and Parkinson’s. Anita provides consulting based on the latest research on photobiomodulation’s effects on brain health and injuries, pain management, and wound healing.
Andjelka Palikucin
Andjelka is a registered Clinical Psychologist who has been serving the Toronto community since 2007. Over the past two decades, she has worked extensively with adults navigating challenges related to anxiety, depression, and trauma. Her clinical approach is compassionate, evidence-based, and tailored to each individual’s needs.
Chirine Said
Chirine is a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) with over a decade of experience in education, parent coaching, and clinical practice.
Specializing in anxiety, depression, and trauma, she integrates goal-oriented therapies like CBT, DBT, and SFBT with psychodynamic depth. Her direct, collaborative approach helps clients across the lifespan gain emotional clarity and build practical tools for lasting change.
Pooria Mirzaee
Pooria is a Clinical Specialist bridging the gap between neurotechnology and compassionate, client-centered care. With a background in Clinical Neuropsychology and Cognitive Neuroscience from Italy, he specializes in integrating VR, neuromodulation, and qEEG assessments, mapping psychological symptoms to physiological findings for neurodivergent children and adults. From developing protocols for Autism and ADHD to implementing gamified neurofeedback, Pooria maintains the research-grade standards honed at Concordia University, where he contributed to psychometric tool development. He transforms complex technology into personalized, interactive solutions tailored to the unique needs of every individual.

Bing Jie (Jessica) Li
With a Master of Nursing from the University of Toronto, she brings a vast array of experience in mental health care, administration, and research. She served six years as a Mental Health Clinician with Mount Sinai Hospital’s ACT Team, supporting individuals with severe schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, depression, and other mood disorders, and also has experience working with children with autism in a private school setting. She has also contributed to research and mental health initiatives at the University Health Network.
Megan Kaiser
Megan earned her Bachelor of Science specializing in Biology and Psychology from Queen’s University. She is an experienced technician skilled in delivering a variety of neuromodulation treatments. Megan applies her technical expertise and background in biopsychology to ensure safe and effective patient care.

Dr. Reza Zomorrodi
Dr. Reza Zomorrodi holds a PhD in physics and computational neuroscience. He is currently a scientist at the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH) within the psychiatry department of the University of Toronto. His work encompasses clinical neurophysiology and the application and optimization of non-invasive brain stimulation (TMS, tDCS/tACS, PBM) for a wide range of psychiatric disorders. Dr. Zomorrodi is notable for being the first in the world to publish a scientific paper demonstrating the neuromodulatory effects of near-infrared (NIR) light energy on the brain, using the Vielight Neuro Gamma device. To date, the Vielight Neuro Gamma remains the only commercially available brain photobiomodulation device to have demonstrated neuromodulatory effects in a peer-reviewed publication in a high-level journal.
Dr. Yoshihiro Noda
Dr. Yoshihiro Noda is a psychiatrist and researcher currently serving as an Associate Professor in Department of Neuropsychiatry at Keio University School of Medicine and Department of Psychiatry at Mita Hospital, International University of Health and Welfare. His expertise lies in neuromodulation techniques, particularly rTMS/TBS and advanced neurophysiology approaches such as TMS-EEG, with a focus on their applications in elucidating the neural mechanisms underlying psychiatric disorders and advancing therapeutic strategies. His interdisciplinary work bridges the domains of medicine, neuroscience, and healthcare management, emphasizing the development of innovative and non-invasive medical technologies.
